But wait… There’s more!

There has been so much going on lately in every sphere of my life, Too much to write about here.  Work has had it’s challenges, encased by extreme highs and extreme lows, many meetings, staff illnesses and absences as well as still trying to clear the back log from my trip and the conference, mean lots of late nights and much weekend work.  There is little to no time outside of work at the moment.  Personal life has been busy too with the start of the new academic year - seeing John off to start VCE (where did the years go?) and Deanna about to start at uni.  And somewhere in all this I seem to have thrown my back out…

Wish I could put more detail but that’s not possible at the moment.  Suffice to say that this week promises to be even crazier than the last few - not sure how that could happen, but it did.  One third of the staff out in the Melbourne office this week - most falling into my area so I’m doing the work of 3 people this week.  They don't call me Wonder Woman for nothing!  Wait, come to think of it, they don’t call me Wonder Woman at all.  On top of that there is a function I must attend on Tuesday evening for a brand I will be working closely with in the coming months - more details on this soon.  Wednesday I have a talk to attend on Documentary photography and Saturday is the celebration of Papa’s 100th birthday!  A truly big day indeed!  That’s right - he made the century.  I will write about this next week as he truly deserves a space all his own.  All other days will be increasing from the normal 11 hours to a lengthy 14 hours per day, and there’s the loss of weekends, but hey, this is what we do.  Lets just say the plan is to live on take-out, caffeine and G-Fuel.  A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do right?

So, sadly, I will have less shooting opportunities over the coming months, but will ensure I still get out and keep the camera rolling, just not as much as I would like to.  I will be writing more often - that’s the plan, whilst there may not be thrilling updates (yes, I dream big) on the days events, there may be stories, or random insights to my thoughts on… well… stuff.  I hope there’s something to say.  I hope the words make sense when they come.  I hope the words do come.

Signing off to finish the spring cleaning - note to self, do not spring clean in summer, there’s a reason why it’s done in spring (30 degrees and heavy lifting/intense scrubbing don’t mix) - and hang the 3rd load of washing and cook dinner and prep for the week ahead… right after I take some tablets for my back.
